Menla Mountain Retreat and Conference Center, located in a serene mountain valley near Phoenicia, NY is looking for seasonal residential staff and volunteers to help with event production, front desk, kitchen/dining room, gardening/landscaping and housekeeping. We’re looking for hard-working, self-motivated, enthusiastic people who are flexible, upbeat and have a desire to work for a worthy cause in a remarkable natural setting. Requires positive attitude, great problem solving abilities, no physical limitations, and a willingness to multi-task and communicate well with others. Gain valuable job experience and work with a great team!

Menla is just 25 minutes west of Woodstock, NY, and 2˝ hours north of New York City. Daily buses connect Phoenicia to NYC.

You’ll work with a friendly and dedicated year-round staff to host life-changing programs that range from Tibetan Buddhism and Yoga to Environmental Protection and Social Justice.

After scheduled work time, staff can enjoy the hiking trails, swimming pool, meditation sanctuary and other facilities. Staff is also invited to participate in Menla-hosted programs. (http://www.menla.org/MenlaProgramandEvents.html)

  • Full and part-time seasonal staff will start as soon as mid-April through October, 2008.
  • 3-month minimum commitment required for full time seasonal staff.
  • Compensation for staff includes room and board plus weekly stipend.
